Nokia is designing a new, own user interface for MeeGo
Nokia Conversations has an article about user interface patterns. After a short description of two most popular patterns used in today's phones (one used by iOS and a different one used by Symbian and Android) we can read that Nokia is going to introduce a wholly new UI design with MeeGo in 2011. It also seems that we may have to wait for MeeGo a little bit more than expected as the idea is to release it only when it is READY and AMAZING, whatever it means.

OK, so it looks that we'll have to wait until Q2, or maybe even Q3 2011 for the first MeeGo device... Hence a simple question to Nokia: WHY ON EARTH waste all that time instead of releasing another MAEMO 5 based phone, let's say N910, with upgraded hardware? Lots of people would happily buy a Maemo 5 device with 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 4" display, larger keyboard, 12 MPix camera with HD video, HDMI out and USB OTG... You think you can keep people waiting, but you can't. Another group will switch to Android and (pardon me) iOS before MeeGo comes out...
