While there is still no native, dedicated Google Maps application for the Maemo platform, you may try maeMaps, web based Google Maps "interface" with N900 optimized design. It allows you to find places, supports routing, different map types, traffic, Wikipedia and Streetview layers, and more. In order to use your N900's GPS, maeMaps requires "maemo-geolocation" MicroB browser extension package to be installed (available in Extras-Devel).
