A nice calendar--much nicer than the N900 calendar. However, one serious shortcoming (unless I'm doing something wrong)... when I have an appointment with an alarm, and my N900 profile is set to "Silent" (but with vibrate "on"), the alarm does not vibrate (only gives a visual alarm acknowledgement). Attractive because the Nokia calendar is shockingly poor. At least gpe lets you set alarms exactly when you want and implements recurrences fully. Would be nice to get the widget to allow you to close it without disabling the alarms, but haven't sussed that out yet. The default alarm tone is awful and can't be changed (unless I can find the file concerned somewhere and replace it. There is a bug involving entering numbers above 9 into the time boxes. I'm using gpe because the Nokia calendar simply won't co-operate with 8 day recurrences and exact alarms, so I'm very thankful for it. [Rate: 7/10] |
