How to enable root access in the X-Terminal?
If you're one of those guys who need their mobile device to be REALLY THEIRS then you'll probably want to enable root access in the X-Terminal.
Root gives you access to (and enables you to change/edit/remove) ALL system folders and files on the device, thus giving you unlimited possibilities of modifying, tweaking and improving the device.
Getting root access is very simple. Just:
- download and install the rootsh package from the Extras repository
- launch the X-Terminal and type: sudo gainroot.
- That's it!
When using the X-Terminal with root access enabled, be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS! Root access enables you to modify (and thus also DAMAGE) all system files, which can even result in BRICKING the device. If you don't know what you are doing, better don't do it. <<< Go back <<<
