Can I put shortcuts to folders on the desktop?



Not by default, but there is an easy way to do it.

Just follow this tip to get the listing of your device's file system in the built-in browser, then open the folder you wish to make a shortcut to, press Ctrl+D (or tap the + button next to the URL field) and select "Add shortcut do desktop" from the menu.
